CURTAIN CALL’S MISSION
is to

“Educate, Foster Creativity and Enrich the Lives of Youth and Adults through Training and Participation in the Theatre Arts.”

 

As we open our 2008-2009  season, keep in mind that we continue to offer children’s theatre at a great affordable price.  We haven’t raised our ticket prices for over 10 years, and I wish to keep it that way.  One of the great reasons we can do so is due to Kokomo’s  government support for the arts in Kokomo.  Thanks to the Kokomo Arts Commission and the support of past and present mayors, this small city hosts good adult and children’s theatre.  Few towns our size can boast of that fact.  It is the work of avid volunteers and devoted individuals that work hard to see that arts don’t die in Kokomo.  It’s not just theatre either.  We have a symphony, a summer park band, an art association that showcase as much, if not more talent than can be found anywhere in this state.  And there is even more out there in museums, little shops, and tea houses.

 

Don’t tell me there is nothing to do in Kokomo.  Perhaps it is more a weakness of spirit in thinking and looking beyond ourselves that is the true culprit.  Life isn’t just cable TV and video games and reality shows.   If you want to see real performances that explore the human imagination, human beauty,  and human creativity, go to a concert, a play, an art gallery.  You may find your soul.
